Master’s in Engineering/Technology with a good academic record. Master’s in Sciences with a good academic record and a national exam tenable for the year of registration. Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology with CGPA at least 7.5 out of 10 and GATE or an equivalent national exam valid at joining. Bachelor’s holders serving two years or more in a reputed R&D organisation with a proven research record, as per Senate item 34.3. GATE or national-exam waiver: B.Tech/B.E./B.S. from a CFTI or top-100 NIRF overall institute with CGPA at least 7.5; BS-MS/M.Sc. from IITs, IISERs, IISc, IIMs or top-100 NIRF overall with CGPA at least 7.5; Himachal Pradesh government institutions with CGPA at least 7.5 (General), 7.0 (OBC-NCL) or 6.5 (SC/ST). Missouri S&T conditions must be met within one year of starting at IIT Mandi. Employed candidates need a no-objection certificate at the interview.
