What DPIIT actually does
DPIIT sits in the Commerce ministry in New Delhi. Interns work under a division head — policy files, not a Bengaluru SDE intern and not PMIS.
What kind of internship this is
Minimum 1 month, maximum 3 months. Stipend ₹10,000 a month, processed after completion. Not more than 20 interns at a time. Unpaid waiting until the month ends is normal — do not expect weekly UPI.
Who should apply — and who should skip
Apply if you are 18+, enrolled in Graduation/PG/research in Engineering, Management, Law, Economics, Finance, Computers or Library Management (other disciplines only if DPIIT needs them), and you can sit in New Delhi for 1–3 months.
