Official Details

CCI internship November 2026 follows the standing Competition Commission of India guidelines (revised March 2020) still hosted on cci.gov.in/internship. If you want the November 2026 month, the form must reach CCI by 1 October 2026. Official guidelines and application form — CCI guidelines PDF.

A government internship here is simple: you sit in a public office for a fixed month, do the work an officer assigns, and leave with a certificate. CCI is not a private company. It is India’s competition regulator. It looks at whether companies are fixing prices, blocking rivals, or combining in a way that hurts buyers. This internship is that office for one month. It is not a Scientist-B job and it is not a remote certificate mill.

What the Competition Commission of India actually does

CCI works under the Competition Act, 2002. Its public job is advocacy and enforcement of competition law. The internship page says the programme exists so students of economics, law, management and finance can see how that Act is applied, not only how it is taught in class.

Work is in New Delhi. You are attached to a division and an officer. On day one there is a short induction on the Act. At the end you present the work you did. The guidelines say that if you skip that presentation, the certificate and the honorarium are not released.

What kind of seat this is

This is a full-time, one-month student internship. It normally starts on the first working day of the month. You can ask for two or three calendar months only if your college writes a recommendation for that longer period. Hybrid or work-from-home is not printed as a right on the guidelines.

Honorarium printed on the guidelines: ₹15,000 per month.

No category-wise vacancy split is printed on this notice. Treat the monthly intake as limited and competitive.

Who should apply — and who should skip

Apply if you are an Indian student in one of the printed degree lines, your college will sign the recommendation, you can sit in New Delhi for November 2026, and you can file a 200-word statement of purpose by 1 October 2026.

Skip if you need a remote internship, you already have a placement in hand (public copies of the same guidelines bar that), your college will not forward the form, or someone is asking you to pay a “CCI processing fee”. CCI does not sell slots on WhatsApp.

  • Law: second and third year of a three-year LL.B. after graduation; fourth and final year of a five-year integrated law course, including students who have written the third-year exam and are entering the fourth year; LL.M.
  • Regulatory governance: MA / MSc (Regulatory Governance).
  • Professional courses: students of the final group of Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accountancy or Company Secretary.

Application must be in the prescribed annexure, must carry a recommendation of the competent authority of your college, and must include a Statement of Purpose of about 200 words. Applications without the recommendation are not entertained. Applications in any other format are not entertained.

No category-wise vacancy split is printed on this notice.

Total vacancies — not printed as a single national number on the official guidelines. Public write-ups often say about 15 interns a month. That figure is not in the lines we opened on the March 2020 PDF. Do not treat 15 as a guaranteed seat count.

How to prepare (free, official)

How to apply without getting played

  1. Open only cci.gov.in/internship.
  2. Download the annexure. Fill it yourself.
  3. Get the recommendation signed by the competent authority of your college. Unsigned forms die here.
  4. Write a 200-word SOP that names a real competition topic (a merger, a cartel case, or a market you actually studied). Empty praise of CCI is wasted words.
