What CPRI actually does

Central Power Research Institute is a Government of India Society under the Ministry of Power. Head office is in Bengaluru (Prof. Sir C.V. Raman Road, Sadashivanagar). Units also sit in Bhopal, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Nashik, Noida, Kolkata, Guwahati and Raipur. The work is testing, research and certification for the power sector — transformers, cables, switchgear, and related labs — not a state electricity board field posting by default.

What kind of role this is

Direct recruitment. Mix of Group-style technical and support posts: Engineering Officer Grade 1, Engineering Assistant, Scientific Assistant, Technician Grade 1, Technical Attendant Grade 1, Assistant Grade II, and Multi-Tasking Staff Grade I (watch and ward).
