Official Details
IBSAT 2026 IBS MBA admission is the private-campus window for MBA and PGPM seats at nine ICFAI Business School campuses. The IBS FAQ says you have to apply on or before 19 December 2026. A clock time is not printed. Apply on admissions.ibsindia.org. Rules used on this page are from the IBS FAQ. IBS India also posted December test dates on its official account: 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27 December 2026, slots 11 am–1 pm and 3 pm–5 pm.
What IBS actually does
IBS is the management school of the ICFAI group. It is private. It is not a government counselling seat. Four campuses run a two-year full-time MBA: Hyderabad, Dehradun, Jaipur, and Bengaluru (off campus of IFHE Hyderabad). Five campuses run a two-year full-time PGPM: Ahmedabad, Gurugram, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune. A PGPM on those five campuses is not a university degree. The FAQ says those five are independent institutes, not off-campus centres of a university. Hyderabad and Bengaluru sit under IFHE, a deemed university. Dehradun and Jaipur sit under the ICFAI universities in those states.
IBSAT is the school’s own test. If you already have CAT, XAT, NMAT by GMAC or GMAT from 2024 onwards, the FAQ says you can apply with that score instead of sitting IBSAT. One application is used for the campuses. You still attend selection at Hyderabad if called.
What kind of seat this is
This is a study seat for the 2027–29 class. It is not a job and there is no stipend on the FAQ. Hyderabad MBA is fully residential: non-AC single room, common washroom. Hostel and mess are extra and paid by the student. Jaipur has a hostel; mess and stay are extra. Other campuses do not have a hostel. The campus office may help you find a room nearby. The FAQ puts living cost in those cities at Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 a month. A service bond is not printed.
Who should apply — and who should skip
Apply if you have graduation in any subject with 50% and above, English as the medium, and at least 15 years of education (10+2+3 or 10+2+4). Aggregate means all subjects of all years. Final-year students can apply if they finish graduation, including practicals, viva and assignments, before 31 May 2027, and submit proof by 1 November 2027. If graduation was not in English, you must submit TOEFL, NELT or IELTS by 31 May 2027.
Skip if your aggregate is under 50%. The FAQ does not print a lower mark for any category. Skip if you need a university MBA and you are only looking at Ahmedabad, Gurugram, Kolkata, Mumbai or Pune — those are PGPM institutes. Skip if you cannot travel to Hyderabad for the February 2027 selection process. Skip agents who ask for a “seat confirmation” fee. Wrong or missing eligibility facts can cancel the offer, and the FAQ says the fee already paid is not returned in that case.
