By Chandra Sekhar

IIM Indore, which is conducting CAT 2026 for the Indian Institutes of Management, will release the admit cards on 4 November 2026 at iimcat.ac.in. You can download yours until 29 November 2026, the day of the exam. The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a computer-based test held on Sunday, 29 November, in three sessions.

Key details

How do I download the CAT 2026 admit card?

1. Go to iimcat.ac.in on or after 4 November.
2. Log in as a registered candidate with the User ID and password you received when you registered.
3. Find the admit card link in your candidate account and download the PDF. The link will only appear once the admit cards are released.
4. Print a clear copy and keep the PDF saved as well.

If you have forgotten your User ID or password, use the Forgot User ID/Password button on the Registered Candidate login window. According to the CAT 2026 registration guide, the details are sent to your registered email address.

What should I check on my admit card?

• Your name and registration details
• Exam date and session
• Reporting time
• Test centre name and full address

If something looks wrong or you cannot download the card, call the CAT helpdesk on 1800 210 0175. It is toll free and, as per the registration guide, answers Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 6 pm, except national holidays. Do not wait until the week of the exam.

Which test city will I get?

You chose five test cities when you registered. You are allotted one of them, subject to availability. In the rare case that none of your choices is available, you get a nearby city. The test centre is named on your admit card. The IIMs can change a centre, city, date or time if needed, so check iimcat.ac.in again a few days before 29 November.

What should I carry on exam day?

Take the printed admit card. The CAT 2026 registration guide also says the photograph you uploaded is to be affixed on the admit card on the day of the test, so keep enough copies of that same photo. For the list of accepted ID documents and anything else you must bring, follow the instructions printed on your admit card and the notices on iimcat.ac.in.
