The Day Scholar’s Purgatory

Being a day scholar means you exist in a weird campus purgatory. The hostellers think you live a luxurious life of home-cooked meals, private bathrooms, and zero rules. Your parents think you are out socializing and partying all day. In reality, I spend three hours a day exhausted on a crowded bus, miss all the late-night club meetings because of my commute, and am exclusively treated by my friends as a pack mule to smuggle in outside food and receive their Amazon packages.
