IBBI is the statutory regulator for insolvency and bankruptcy in India. An intern here is not a resolution professional and not an IBBI employee. You sit in the office for one calendar month, write a report on a topic agreed with an officer, and leave with a completion certificate if the work is satisfactory.
What IBBI actually does
IBBI registers insolvency professionals, oversees the process when a company or person cannot pay debts, and writes the regulations around the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code. The 2023 guidelines say the internship is for students who want a professional career in insolvency, liquidation, bankruptcy or a related field.
This is office work in New Delhi. Bring your own discipline. The guidelines say you must not represent yourself as an IBBI employee, and the internship gives you no claim to a job.
What kind of seat this is
Ordinary duration: one month, from the first working day to the last working day of the month. IBBI may extend by up to one more month at its discretion. No leave is allowed. If you are absent for a reason IBBI accepts, the period can be stretched by those days — without stipend for the gap.
Stipend printed: ₹10,000 lump sum per month.
No category-wise vacancy split is printed on this notice.
Who should apply — and who should skip
Apply if you are enrolled in a printed law or PG / MPhil / PhD line, your school will sign the recommendation, you can be in New Delhi for all of November 2026 with no leave plan, and you can email a complete form by 1 October 2026.
Skip if you need remote work, you cannot get a signed recommendation, you already used a fake “IBBI intern portal” that charges a fee, or you want a six-month DRDO-style paid lab internship. This is a one-month regulator desk.
