What IISER Tirupati actually does

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Tirupati is an institute of national importance under the Ministry of Education. This round is a PhD joining around 4 January 2027, with coursework and teaching assistantship as well as research. It is not the IISER Aptitude Test for BS-MS. Mathematics is not admitting in this round.

Departments admitting: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth and Climate Sciences, and Humanities and Social Sciences.

What kind of seat this is

PhD programme, January 2027, on the IISER Tirupati campus. A stipend figure is not printed on the admissions page used for this notice. Do not treat a coaching-site figure as part of this advertisement unless Tirupati prints it.

Who should apply — and who should skip

Apply if your degree and national exam match the department block below. IISER BS-MS students from any IISER with CGPA at least 8.0 are eligible without the essential exam column in the departments that print that line.

Skip if you want Mathematics this round — it is not open. Skip if your percentage is only in the major subject where the page says overall percentage including all subjects. Each department form is separate. A Biology form does not cover Chemistry.
