Official Details

ISRO LPSC Scientist Engineer SC recruitment 2026 is Advertisement No. LPSC/03/2026 dated 26 September 2026. Last date — 13 October 2026, 1400 hrs. Fee window — 14 October 2026, 1400 hrs. Apply only through the Recruitment portal linked from lpsc.gov.in.

If you are still in B.Tech: this notice wants both a B.E./B.Tech and an M.E./M.Tech in the named branches, with the printed percentages, on 13.10.2026. It is not the earlier ISRO ICRB 176-post Scientist/Engineer window that closed on 16 September 2026. That cycle is a different advertisement.

What LPSC actually does

Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre is an ISRO unit under the Department of Space. It designs and realises liquid propulsion systems for launch vehicles. The printed duty station is LPSC, Valiamala, near Thiruvananthapuram. The notice also says you can be posted to any ISRO or Department of Space unit in India.

What kind of role this is

Scientist Engineer ‘SC’ at Level-10 (₹56,100–1,77,500). The notice calls the posts temporary but likely to continue indefinitely. Career progression in ISRO scientific cadres follows the Merit Promotion Scheme after a residency period, not a vacancy-by-vacancy race. Benefits printed in the usual DoS pattern include medical facilities, subsidised canteen, HBA, LTC and NPS/UPS. Do not treat a coaching brochure CTC as official; the notice does not print in-hand pay.

Who should apply — and who should skip

Apply if you are an Indian national, you hold the exact B.E./B.Tech + M.E./M.Tech pair for one of the three post numbers, you have 65% or CGPA 6.84 on the bachelor side and 60% or CGPA 6.5 on the master side as printed, you finished the course in the university’s stipulated duration, and you will be 30 or under on 13.10.2026 (relaxations for ESM, PwBD and departmental candidates follow Government of India orders).

Skip if your professional degree is through Open and Distance Learning — the notice bars ODL. Skip if you only have B.Tech. Skip if you plan to “convert” CGPA to percentage when the university printed only CGPA; the notice forbids that conversion even if the university has a formula. Rounding off marks is not allowed.
