Official Details

ISRO SAC student internship 2026 is unpaid project training at the Space Applications Centre, Ahmedabad. There is no single last date on the SRTD page. The official form asks you to mail the PDF about 45 days before the joining date you want. SAC joins interns only on the 1st, 11th or 21st of a month (next working day if that date is a holiday). Apply page — sac.gov.in/srtd. Form — SRTD Research and Training Form (PDF). Mail only srtd@sac.isro.gov.in.

What this internship actually is

An internship here is a short, official training block inside a lab or office. You are still a student. You are not joining ISRO as Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’. You do not get a stipend on this form. You do not get a hostel seat from SAC.

Space Applications Centre is an ISRO centre under the Department of Space. It builds and tests instruments used in Indian satellites — communication, navigation, earth observation and related software. Interns sit with a guide on work that matches those areas. This is not the IIRS Dehradun form and not the URSC Bengaluru portal. Each ISRO centre runs its own window.

What kind of seat this is

Offline only, on a SAC campus in Ahmedabad. Duration on the official table:

  • B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc / Diploma — 10 to 24 weeks
  • M.E. / M.Tech / M.Sc — 10 to 36 weeks
  • Ph.D. — 10 to 52 weeks

Minimum printed on the form is 10 weeks. No bond is printed. No fee is printed. The form also prints: no stipend, no accommodation, no other monetary compensation.

Who should apply — and who should skip

Apply if you are an Indian citizen, a regular on-campus student of a recognised university or institute for the full internship period, you already clear the semester rule for your degree, and you have at least 60% marks or 6.32 CGPA on a 10-point scale. Streams SAC lists as relevant include ECE, Mechanical, Computer Science, AI/ML, Robotics, Aerospace, Mechatronics, Remote Sensing, GIS, Atmospheric Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Material Science, Chemistry and Physics.

Skip if you need a monthly stipend this semester, you cannot live in Ahmedabad on your own money, you are not a regular on-campus student, you have not finished the printed semester cut-off, or you are filling a lookalike “ISRO intern 2026” Google Form that asks for a registration fee. Also skip if you wanted IIRS Dehradun (that board is already on Campus Reality) or URSC Bengaluru (that Oct–Dec 2026 portal has already hit its cap).
