New last date on the vacancies board — 30 September 2026. Vacancies board — nccs.gov.in/home/vacancies. Original circular — Q4 signed PDF. Extension circular — Corrigendum Intern.pdf.

This page updates the existing Q4 notice. It is not a second window and not a new slug.

What NCCS actually does

National Centre for Communication Security is a Department of Telecommunications unit in Bengaluru. The lab works on telecom security testing and related technical work. Interns sit offline in Bengaluru with regular staff. This is not a remote certificate internship and not a DoT officer post.

The scheme cap printed in the enclosed Internship Scheme is 20 interns across both categories at any point in time. Possessing 60% does not guarantee a seat.

What kind of internship this is

Quarter 4 of 2026 means joining in October–December 2026. Mode is offline in Bengaluru. Bring your own laptop if selected; do not treat this as a work-from-home listing.

  • Category I — minimum 60 days. Token remuneration ₹7,500 a month, pro rata.
  • Category II — minimum 6 months, extendable to 12 months with Head of Division recommendation and Head of NCCS approval. Token remuneration ₹15,000 a month, pro rata.

Category I applicants must write the dates they can actually attend between October and December 2026, as allowed by their institute.

Who should apply — and who should skip

Apply if you are an Indian student from a recognised university in India or abroad, you hold 60% in a listed ECE / Communications / Telecommunication / Radio / IT / Computers / Electrical (electronics-communications-computers major) or related stream, you can sit in Bengaluru for the full slot, and you can email one PDF by 30 September 2026.

Skip if you wanted a private SDE intern in another city, you cannot relocate, your institute will not recommend a Category I student, or a random Google Form is collecting a “NCCS processing fee”. The circular does not print a fee.
