Official Details

PGIMER Nursing Officer recruitment 2026 is Advertisement No. PGI/RC/055/2026/2276 dated 09 September 2026. Last date — 03 October 2026. Apply through the Recruitment link on pgimer.edu.in. Short notice PDF — PGIMER uploaded notice.

If you are not from a nursing college: a Nursing Officer here is a regular Group B hospital nurse on the 7th CPC pay matrix, not an intern and not a contractual “staff nurse on outsource”. You need a State Nursing Council registration. Final-year B.Sc students should read the printed line: eligibility is as on 03.10.2026.

What PGIMER actually does

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, is a central-government teaching hospital. It runs super-specialty care and training. This notice also covers posts created for the Advanced Mother and Child (MCH) Centre on the same campus. Posting printed in the notice is PGIMER, Chandigarh.

What kind of role this is

Direct recruitment, regular, Group B, Level-7 (₹44,900–1,42,400). There is no interview. Merit is the Computer Based Test after documents and medical fitness. If you cannot work shifts in a large public hospital in Chandigarh, this is the wrong window.

Who should apply — and who should skip

Apply if you already have B.Sc (Hons) Nursing, regular B.Sc Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing from a recognised university/institute and you are registered as Nurse or Nurse & Midwife with a State Nursing Council; or you have GNM, the same registration, and one year in a hospital with at least 50 beds after GNM. Age 18–35 as on 03.10.2026, with the usual SC/ST 5 years, OBC 3 years, PwBD 10 years (13 with OBC, 15 with SC/ST).

Skip if you only have ANM, if your council registration is pending on the last date, if the GNM experience is in a clinic smaller than 50 beds, or if a Telegram “PGIMER form filling” page asks for extra cash.
