What SSC actually does here
Staff Selection Commission is only the exam body. After the papers and the physical tests, Delhi Police and the Central Armed Police Forces take the selected names. This window is for Sub-Inspector (Executive) in Delhi Police, Sub-Inspector (GD) in CRPF, BSF, ITBP, CISF and SSB, and Sub-Inspector (Fire) in CISF — male only for Fire.
It is a uniformed first job, not a desk LDC post and not an internship. Paper-I, PET/PST, Paper-II and a detailed medical are all mandatory. There is no interview on this notice.
What kind of role this is
SI (GD) in CAPFs and SI (Fire) in CISF are Group B (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial, Pay Level-6 (₹35,400–1,12,400). SI (Executive) in Delhi Police is Group C on the same Level-6 scale. CAPF SIs can be posted anywhere in India. Delhi Police SI stays with Delhi Police.
Departmental Constables, Head Constables and Assistant Sub-Inspectors of Delhi Police with at least three years’ service may apply for open male SI (Executive) seats, with a higher age cap printed in the notice.
Who should apply — and who should skip
Apply if you will hold the printed degree or diploma on or before 30 September 2026, you fit the age band as on 01 August 2026 (20–25 for Delhi Police and CAPF GD; 18–30 for CISF Fire), and you can clear both computer papers plus PET/PST and medical.
Skip if you want CISF SI (Fire) and you are a woman — this cycle prints that post as male only. Skip Delhi Police SI (male) if you will not hold a valid LMV licence for motorcycle and car by the PE&MT date; a two-wheeler-only licence is not enough. Those male candidates can still choose CAPF SI (GD). Skip if you cannot relocate. Skip any domain that is not ssc.gov.in.
Appearing graduates may fill the form. The result of the qualifying exam must have been declared on or before 30 September 2026. “Result under process” is not enough.

Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or equivalent on or before 30-09-2026. Age 20–25 as on 01-08-2026 (born not earlier than 02-08-2001 and not later than 01-08-2006), plus printed relaxations. Valid LMV driving licence for motorcycle and car by the PE&MT date.

- Paper-I computer-based test: General Intelligence and Reasoning, GK and General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Comprehension — 25 questions / 25 marks each, 1 hour with a 15-minute sectional timer per part.

How to apply without getting played
- Complete One-Time Registration on the new ssc.gov.in. Old ssc.nic.in OTR does not work.
- Submit the SI 2026 form by 30 September 2026, 23:00. Pay ₹100 by 01 October 2026, 23:00 if you are not exempt.
- If the printout says Incomplete, the fee did not reach SSC. That form is dead.
- Correction window: 08–10 October 2026. Male Delhi Police SI applicants should keep the LMV licence ready before PE&MT, not after it.
