Official Details
INI-CET January 2027 admission is the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test for MD, MS, MDS and the 6-year DM/MCh courses at AIIMS and other INIs. Online registration closing date — 13 October 2026, 5:00 pm. Apply only on aiimsexams.ac.in. The prospectus (Part A and Part B) was uploaded on 16 September 2026. This is not NEET-PG. A NEET-PG rank does not fill an INI seat.
What AIIMS exams actually does
AIIMS New Delhi runs INI-CET for postgraduate medical seats at the Institutes of National Importance. The January 2027 prospectus lists 23 participating institutes. The set includes AIIMS New Delhi and other AIIMS, JIPMER Puducherry, NIMHANS Bengaluru, PGIMER Chandigarh and SCTIMST Thiruvananthapuram. A form here is for those institutes only.
What kind of seat this is
These are postgraduate medical seats for the January 2027 session: MD, MS, MDS, and 6-year MCh and DM courses. Registration is a one-time process. You fill basic details, qualification, experience, images and the fee in the same form. Access to parts of the form opens and closes by the dates in the prospectus. Check the site again before you pay.
Who should apply — and who should skip
Apply if you hold an MBBS degree recognised by the National Medical Commission, from a recognised university, with a one-year compulsory rotatory internship. The prospectus says you must have completed the qualification, degree and tenure by 31 January 2027 for the January session. Candidates who will finish after that date cannot sit this exam. Wrong information can lead to denial of admission.
Skip if your internship ends after 31 January 2027. The July session uses 31 July 2027. Skip if you only have a NEET-PG plan and do not want an INI. Skip any “INI-CET token” that is not aiimsexams.ac.in. The fee is not refunded.

Pay by debit card, credit card or net banking. A bank transaction charge, if any, is extra. If the fee is paid more than once for one application, the prospectus says it is not refunded. Fees once remitted are not refunded.

Eligibility criteria
MBBS recognised by NMC, with a one-year compulsory rotatory internship, completed by 31 January 2027. MDS eligibility is the dental line in the same prospectus. Candidates who finish the internship after 31 January 2027 are not eligible for this session. No open-seat category table is copied here because the seat-position notice is a separate upload on aiimsexams.ac.in.
2. DM and MCh, 6 years As in the prospectus
Eligibility criteria
Same MBBS and internship clock: completed by 31 January 2027. Institute-specific lines, such as a state medical council registration at SCTIMST, are printed on that institute card inside the prospectus. Read that card if you want that campus. A single age cap for every institute is not in the schedule extract we used.
