What North Western Railway actually does

North Western Railway is a zone of Indian Railways. Railway Recruitment Cell, Jaipur, is the nodal office for this Act Apprentice window. The cell address on the notice is Building No. 4, 2nd floor, opposite Railway Central Hospital, 2nd entry gate, Railway Station, Jaipur 302006. RRC collects forms and prepares the merit list. Document verification and medical examination happen in the division or unit you opted.

There is no central merit list. The panel is division-wise, trade-wise and community-wise.

What kind of seat this NWR ITI trade apprentice 2026 is

These are Act Apprentice training slots in designated trades at workshops and units on North Western Railway for 2026-27. You choose only one unit. A second application, or a later edit after final submit, gets all applications rejected. If your ITI trade has no slot in the unit you pick, the form becomes useless.

Training period and stipend are “as per extant rules and directives issued by Railway Board from time to time.” The notice does not print a rupee stipend. No hostel is provided. You make your own stay. Before training starts, the selected candidate — or the guardian, if the candidate is a minor — signs a contract of apprenticeship. Para 10 of Schedule V of the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, is quoted on the notice: the employer is not obliged to offer a job after training, and the apprentice is not obliged to accept one.

Who should apply — and who should skip

Apply if you have passed class 10 or equivalent under the 10+2 system with at least 50 percent aggregate marks, with no rounding off, and you hold a National Trade Certificate from NCVT or SCVT in the trade you apply for. Age is 15 years to below 24 years as on 6 November 2026. Relaxation printed in standard railway apprentice notices of this window: SC/ST 5 years, OBC 3 years, PwBD 10 years, and ex-servicemen as per service rendered. Marks of all matric subjects count, not one subject group. ITI percentage is the figure on the provisional or final certificate. Candidates awaiting results should not apply.

Skip if you want a permanent Group C railway post, if your 10th aggregate is under 50 percent, or if you do not have the ITI trade that the unit has printed. More than one application is rejected. No daily allowance or travel allowance is paid for document verification.

1. Online form on rrcjaipur.in. A registration number is issued. Keep it.
2. Merit is the simple average of matric percentage (all subjects) and ITI percentage, trade-wise and unit-wise.
3. If marks are equal, the older candidate is preferred. If the date of birth is also the same, the candidate who passed matric earlier is placed first.
4. Document verification of originals, then medical fitness as per Annexure IV. No physical copy of the form is to be posted to RRC.

How to apply without getting played

1. Use only rrcjaipur.in. A portal that asks for a “slot booking fee” above Rs 100 is not RRC.
2. Pick the one unit that actually has your ITI trade. A second form rejects all of them.
3. Pay Rs 100 only if you are not in the exempt list. SC, ST, PwBD and women pay nil. Keep the e-receipt.
4. Upload a colour photo not older than three months, 3.5 cm by 3.5 cm, JPG, 20–70 KB, and a signature of 20–30 KB. Name, father’s name and date of birth must match the matric certificate.
5. Do not treat this as a job offer. The notice says training does not confer absorption.
