What Spices Board actually does
Spices Board is a statutory body under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The head office is Sugandha Bhavan, N.H. Bypass, Palarivattom, Kochi 682025. It works on spice export, quality and development through regional, divisional and field offices. This notice is not a scientist or officer recruitment. It is a two-year training attachment in those offices.
The Board writes, in point 16 of the notice, that selection as Trainee (Development) is only a training. It is not linked to a regular appointment and cannot be regularised at any stage.
What kind of seat this Spices Board trainee development 2026 is
Training stipend is Rs 20,000 per month. If the trainee travels to spice fields, travelling allowance is paid. Training runs for two years from the date of joining. Leave is one day per month. The count of 21 is provisional and can change at selection. You can be posted in any office of the Board under the region you are selected for.
No UR or OBC roster is printed. The whole notification is only for SC and ST candidates. One trainee is required at each listed office.
