Mumbai Port Authority recruitment 2026 is Advertisement No. DR-20 dated 28 September 2026. Last date for online registration and fee payment — 28 October 2026. Apply only on mumbaiport.gov.in under People & Career / Jobs. Detailed notice — DR-20 PDF.

What Mumbai Port Authority actually does

Mumbai Port Authority (MbPA) runs the major port at Mumbai. It handles cargo, shipping, estate, engineering works, security and accounts for the port estate. It is a central port authority under the Ports Act framework, not a private logistics company.

This advertisement fills regular Class I and Class II posts by direct recruitment. The work is in Mumbai. Transfers inside the port set-up can happen as the authority decides.

What kind of role this is

These are regular direct-recruitment posts (Class I and one Class II). You sit an online examination in the Mumbai / Greater Mumbai / Navi Mumbai / Thane / Palghar area. Exam date is not fixed yet; it will be intimated. After the exam, Class I posts go through document verification and interview. The Class II Assistant Security Officer post goes through document verification, a physical requirement test and a language proficiency test.

You can apply for more than one post if you meet each set of rules. Each post needs a separate application and a separate fee. Only the latest completed application is kept if you file duplicates for the same post.

Who should apply — and who should skip

Apply if you have the exact degree printed for that post, your age fits as on 1 September 2026, and you can work in Mumbai. Civil engineers have the largest seats (Assistant Executive Engineer Civil 5 and Executive Engineer Civil 13). Chartered Accountants and Cost Accountants can look at Accounts Officer Grade I. Graduates can look at Assistant Traffic Manager and Assistant Security Officer if the other conditions match.

Skip if you need a posting outside Mumbai. Skip if your degree does not match the post (a computer science degree does not cover the civil seats). Skip lookalike domains that are not mumbaiport.gov.in. Skip the Assistant Security Officer seat if you cannot meet the physical measurements or the Marathi/Hindi/English language requirement printed for that post. The security post is marked not suitable for any disability.
