The National Informatics Centre (NIC) is the premier technology arm of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. It builds and runs government digital systems across India.
This winter batch gives selected students hands-on work on live government IT projects under a mentor.
What kind of role this is
This is a short-term paid internship, not a job. You work offline at NIC Headquarters in New Delhi for at least two months from 1 December 2026. It can extend to three months based on performance and NIC need. No absorption right is printed.
Who should apply — and who should skip
Apply if
You are an Indian student from a recognised university with at least 60% in your last held degree or certificate examination.
You are in BE/BTech third year (or lateral third year), ME/MTech or MSc (CS/IT) first year, MCA second year, Dual Degree ME/MTech fourth year, or DoEACC ‘B’ level.
You can be in New Delhi from 1 December 2026 for the full period and can get a recommendation letter on your institute letterhead.
