SSSC Punjab District Court Clerk 2026 is Detailed Employment Notice No. 37C/SSSC/PB/2026 dated 03/10/2026. Last date to submit the online form — 04 November 2026, 4:00 pm. The form opens on 07 October 2026 at 4:00 pm. Apply only on sssc.gov.in. The notice PDF is on the same site: Advt dated 03.10.2026 Pb Clerk. The online form link printed for this window is the SSSC Clerk (District Courts of Punjab) form.

What SSSC Punjab District Court Clerk 2026 actually is

A Clerk in a District Court is a desk job in the court office. You handle files, cause lists, copying work and computer entries. You are not a judge, and this form does not make you a lawyer.

S.S.S.C. is the Society for Centralized Recruitment of Staff in Subordinate Courts under the High Court of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh. It is recruiting on behalf of the District and Sessions Judges in Punjab. The notice asks for Indian applicants through www.sssc.gov.in only.

What kind of role this is

Direct recruitment to 1,270 Clerk posts in the District Courts of Punjab. Pay for a fresh graduate appointed on or after 17.07.2020 is Rs 29,200 at Level-5, as adopted from the Punjab Government letter dated 12.09.2024 on new pay scales. This is a court-service post, not an internship and not a central SSC LDC form.

If you already work for Punjab or Haryana Government, another State, the Government of India, a High Court, subordinate courts, or Chandigarh UT, keep a No Objection Certificate from your head of office. If you cannot show it when asked, the notice says the candidature stands cancelled.

Who should apply — and who should skip

Apply if you have a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree, you passed matric with Punjabi as one of the subjects, and you can operate a computer. The degree and the Punjabi condition must be met as on the closing date, 04 November 2026. Age is counted as on 01 January 2026: minimum 18, maximum 37 for the unreserved band.

Skip if you did not have Punjabi as a subject in Class 10. A later Punjabi certificate is not what this notice writes. Skip if you only have Class 12. Skip if you want a Haryana court clerk seat — that is a different advertisement, 36C/SSSC/HR/2026, and that apply window is not this one. Skip WhatsApp “agents”. SSSC does not take a fee outside the online payment on its form.

Educational qualifications

Post Degree / marks Experience / extras
Clerk Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science. Punjabi as a subject in matric. Computer operation. No experience years printed. Serving staff need NOC. Computer Proficiency Test is later and qualifying.

Selection

  1. Online written exam (computer-based test). General Knowledge is objective, 50 questions, 50 marks. English has an objective part and a composition you type on the computer.
  2. Qualifying mark is 33 percent in each subject. Negative marking: one-fourth mark off for a wrong objective answer. A blank answer gets nothing.
  3. English composition is checked only if you have 33 percent or more in General Knowledge.
  4. From those who qualify, the High Court calls a category-wise number for the Computer Proficiency Test. Spreadsheet test: 10 marks, 10 minutes, need 4 or more. English typing: 30 words per minute. Typing is checked only if the spreadsheet is cleared. Speed formula on the notice: (words typed minus mistakes) divided by 10.
  5. CPT marks are not added to merit. You must qualify it, unless the notice’s exemption for a listed benchmark disability is granted. Final merit is the CBT. If marks are equal, the older candidate is placed higher.
  6. Document check after that. A demo test link is to be uploaded about 15 days before the exam. Admit cards are downloaded from sssc.gov.in. They are not posted.

How to prepare (free, official)

How to apply without getting played

  1. Open sssc.gov.in. Use the Clerk (District Courts of Punjab) link for 37C/SSSC/PB/2026. Do not use the Haryana clerk form.
  2. Pay the slab that matches your category. Punjab reservation fee is only if you are a Punjab resident in that category. Others pay Rs 1,200.
  3. Save the registration ID and password. The admit card needs both. Check email and the spam folder. SSSC says avoid unnecessary letters to the office.
  4. Do not pay a second “form fee” to a person. The only fee on this notice is the online facilitation plus exam fee.
