What this ITBP post is

ITBP is a Central Armed Police Force. This window is not the open Constable GD exam that any 10th-pass student can sit. It is for meritorious sportspersons. The post is Group C, non-gazetted, non-ministerial. Pay is Level-3 of the pay matrix, Rs 21,700–69,100, plus allowances admissible to CAPF personnel. Level-3 basic pay is not the amount that reaches your bank. Allowances sit on top, and the force can post you where it needs you.

Who should apply, and who should skip

• Apply if you are 10th pass from a recognised board and you have a sports result in an advertised discipline between 1 January 2024 and 1 November 2026.
• Indian citizens can apply. Subjects of Nepal and Bhutan can apply as printed on the recruitment copies.
• Skip if you have no medal or participation certificate in the named event. A college annual-day certificate is not this form.
• Skip if you are applying as Ex-Servicemen or as a person with benchmark disability. These 126 seats are not open to them.
• Skip if your sport is not in the 28 disciplines. The force can move unused seats to another advertised discipline if it does not find suitable candidates.
• Female seats are zero in basketball, equestrian, football, handball, hockey, powerlifting, table tennis, volleyball and weightlifting. Do not force those rows.

Eligibility criteria for every row

Age 18 to 23, with relaxation up to 5 years for meritorious sportspersons and up to 10 years for SC/ST sportspersons who also meet the education and certificate rules. Education on recruitment copies: matriculation or equivalent. Sports eligibility is participation or a medal in a recognised competition in the window 1 January 2024 to 1 November 2026, in the discipline and event you select. The certificate must be in the form the detailed advertisement names.

Recruitment copies list documentation, Physical Standard Test, Physical Efficiency Test, sports trial and achievement verification, then Detailed Medical Examination and Review Medical Examination if declared unfit.
