What CFTRI actually does
CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute in Mysuru works on food science, technology and related engineering. Under the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), it hosts full-time PhD students in sciences and engineering.
What kind of seat this is
Full-time doctoral seats for the January 2027 session. This is not the short-term internship that CFTRI also runs. You need a qualifying degree and, for most funded routes, a national fellowship.

Seats are institute-wise. AcSIR does not print one national total on the general advertisement. Reservation follows Government of India rules. CSIR GATE/GPAT Junior Research Fellowships are a separate fellowship route.
