What DGT actually does

The Directorate General of Training under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship sets standards and the training calendar for the Craftsmen Training Scheme. Day-to-day admission work is done by State and UT Directorates and the ITIs themselves.

What kind of seat this is

Regular CTS (ITI) training seats for Session 2026-27. This is not a new national entrance. It is a final extension of the admission window so that fresh, walk-in and mop-up admissions can still be completed.
