IIT Jodhpur PhD admission 2026 is the rolling advertisement for interdisciplinary and PhD programmes. The page prints a Semester II application cut-off of 20 October. Apply as an Indian student on erponline.iitj.ac.in. The listing page is iitj.ac.in rolling PhD page.
What IIT Jodhpur actually does
IIT Jodhpur is a central technical institute in Rajasthan. A rolling PhD advertisement stays open through the year. Each department still sets its own round. That is different from a one-week form for a bachelor seat.
A PhD is a research degree after a master’s, or after a bachelor’s where the department allows it. You are not allotted a hostel B.Tech seat through this form.
What kind of seat this is
Interdisciplinary and PhD programmes. The listing page says the application closing date is throughout the year. The cut-off date printed for Semester I is 20 April. The cut-off date printed for Semester II is 20 October. Results are announced by the department. Shortlists, selected names and waitlists are posted on the department, school or centre page, not as one national rank list.
Who should apply — and who should skip
Apply if you want a PhD or interdisciplinary research seat for Semester II and you can submit before the 20 October cut-off printed for that semester. Read the department page before you pay. The June 2026 second rounds listed on the same page are already over: Civil and Infrastructure Engineering and Materials Engineering till 25 June 2026, Aerospace Engineering till 20 June 2026, Energy and Automotive Engineering till 15 June 2026, Economics till 20 June 2026.
Skip if you are looking for those June rounds, if you want a JEE B.Tech seat, or if a site that is not iitj.ac.in or erponline.iitj.ac.in asks for the fee. Degree, marks and GATE rules are not repeated on the listing page. They sit in the advertisement PDF linked from that page (217 KB). Do not guess a marks cut-off.

How to prepare (free, official)
How to apply without getting played
- Open only erponline.iitj.ac.in from the iitj.ac.in page.
- Do not pay for the June rounds. Those dates have passed.
- If the form asks for a fee, that is the only fee. A second “counselling charge” on another domain is not this advertisement.
- Save the acknowledgement. Check the department page for the result. The listing page does not promise a personal mail.
