Ministry of Culture internship 2026 is the advertisement for engagement of 20 interns under the Ministry of Culture Internship Programme, published on 29 September 2026. Last date for applications to reach the Ministry — 14 October 2026. Apply by email to iaadb@gov.in. Detailed notice — culture.gov.in PDF.

What the Ministry of Culture actually does

The Ministry of Culture looks after India’s museums, archives, heritage sites and cultural programmes. For this window the interns support the India Art, Architecture and Design Biennale (IAADB) 2026-27. The Biennale runs from 4 December 2026 to 21 March 2027 at Purana Qila and other Delhi venues. Interns help with the preparation and day-to-day work of that event.

What kind of internship this is

This is a short-term paid internship, not a regular government job. Duration is two to six months on a rolling basis. Work is on-site in New Delhi at the Ministry or IAADB venues. You work under the Curatorial team of IAADB or an officer the Ministry names. Tasks include research support, exhibition coordination, installation help, visitor facilitation, public programming, documentation and stakeholder coordination.

Who should apply — and who should skip

Apply if you hold a graduate degree from a recognised university or institution. Any stream is accepted. Experience with government offices, museums, cultural organisations or international events is useful but not required. You must be able to stay in Delhi for the period you are engaged.

Skip if you need remote work, if you cannot arrange your own stay and travel in Delhi, or if someone asks you to pay a processing fee or application charge. The notice prints no fee. Also skip if you have not finished your graduation yet — the essential condition is a graduate degree.
