What the National Human Rights Commission actually does
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) is a statutory body under the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993. It looks into complaints of human rights violations, recommends remedies, and runs awareness programmes. This short online internship is one of those awareness programmes for university students.
It is not a job. It is a two-week virtual attachment with lectures, group work, book review and virtual visits. Successful completion gets a certificate and a small stipend.
What kind of internship this NHRC Online Short-Term Internship November 2026 is
It is a full-time online programme from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday. About 100 students are selected. Location is virtual. No bond is printed. You must be free for the full two weeks.
