AIIMS Jammu (Vijaypur) is recruiting 76 Group-A faculty posts on direct recruitment basis under Employment Notification No. 05/2026 dated 14 October 2026. Online applications run from 14 October 2026 to 13 November 2026 (upto 5:00 PM) on aiimsjammu.edu.in. Hard copy of the signed application with documents must reach the institute by 18 November 2026, or the application is cancelled.
AIIMS Jammu is an Institute of National Importance set up under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. It aims to correct regional imbalance in tertiary healthcare and train medical graduates and postgraduates in the Jammu region.
Nature of the role
These are regular Group-A faculty posts (Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor) across clinical, pre-clinical and para-clinical departments. Private practice of any kind is prohibited. Posts are whole-time.
Who applies / who skips
Apply if you hold MBBS (or equivalent recognized by NMC) plus the required MD/MS or equivalent postgraduate degree in the subject of the post, and meet the teaching/research experience for the level you apply for. OCI cardholders are permitted where rules allow. Skip if your qualifying degree is not recognized by NMC for the subject, or if you lack the minimum years of experience printed for that post. Age must not exceed 50 years (relaxations as per rules).

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Same essential qualification as Assistant Professor of the discipline + 10 years teaching/research experience after qualifying degree. Category: UR 5, OBC 5, SC 2, ST 1, EWS 2.
3. Associate Professor — Level 13-A1+ [16 Vacancy]
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Same essential qualification + 6 years teaching/research experience after qualifying degree. Category: UR 4, OBC 7, SC 3, ST 1, EWS 1.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: MBBS + MD/MS or equivalent in the subject + 3 years teaching/research experience after qualifying degree (or as recognized equivalent by NMC). Category: UR 5, OBC 8, SC 3, ST 2, EWS 0.
