What DTU actually does
Delhi Technological University is a state technical university in Delhi. The M.Tech by Research programme is a research-oriented Master’s that follows a similar first-year structure to PhD coursework plus a research component. It is meant for students who want an R&D career or a path toward a PhD.
What kind of seat this is
This is a full-time research Master’s for the January 2027 session. Both GATE-qualified candidates and non-GATE candidates (via a DTU admission test) can apply. Classes and research work are on the DTU campus.
Who should apply — and who should skip
Apply if you meet the essential qualifications printed in Annexure-1 (for GATE holders) or Annexure-2 (for non-GATE) of the official brochure for the department you want.
Skip if your degree or subject does not match the annexure for that department, or if you cannot attend the interview and document verification in November.
